Before your first import
What if I import a file I have already analyzed?
IMgest reuses saved analysis results when it finds them for the same installation. Reusing a result does not consume another file analysis.
Can I choose a different folder name?
In the name review screen, regenerate a name for each folder and review the suggestion before accepting it, or keep the existing name. Naming uses saved file analysis, so regenerating a folder name does not consume more file analyses.
What do I set up first?
Choose your library and any backup destinations. Enable file content analysis to analyze individual files and organize events after importing.
What does AI receive?
Resized photos, representative video frames, and the capture information needed for analysis. Video frames are sampled according to clip length. See the privacy policy for details.
What if AI fails or I run out of analyses?
Verified copies are preserved. Add analysis capacity and rerun the same source to continue with files that still need analysis. Basic copying and verification do not depend on your AI balance.
Does the original file name change?
With file-name tags enabled, content tags are appended to the copied file’s original identifier. For example, GX010024.MP4 becomes GX010024_Riverside_Cycling_Sunset.MP4. Deleting files from the source card is a separate setting.
